About This Resource
This session will provide an overview of the AISL Harrow Early Years Curriculum (AHEYC) which will be used by all Early Years Provision from September 2022. While defining the nature and role of Curriculum in Early Years and the received content for learning, it will provide a brief context to its purpose, rationale, initial development, and the key principles that underpin it. The session will explore the relationship between the Disciplines (Learning Behaviours) and Domains (Knowledge and Skills) and how they are all underpinned and driven by core values. It will also provide a practical approach to understanding how the AHEYC enables educators to design and construct their own responsive Curriculum and how this is interpreted and implemented using the AHEYC as its framework for aspirations and expectations.
